Value My Stuff was founded by Patrick van der Woster, an entrepreneur, dealer and art expert with a 25-year history in the art, antiques and collectibles industry. After studying law at the University of Leuven, Belgium, Patrick moved to London in 1995 and continued to live there. Patrick began his career at Sotheby's Billings in 1996. He moved to Bond Street in London in 1997. He first worked in the Impressionist and Contemporary Art departments and later moved to the furniture department. This is his main hobby. At the age of 28, Patrick became the deputy director of Sotheby's Auctions. At the age of 31, he became the director and head of the European Furniture Company, specializing in French furniture in the 18th century. During this time, he helped organize the sale of Elton John's London family, Easton-Neston auction, Sern and taxis.
