After spending 10 long winters in New England, Billy Walsh, the founder of Shark Zen finally realized that he was ready to return to his own source and follow his passion. He and his family returned to the warm coastal waters of Florida, and soon after they returned, his artistic inspiration began to thaw and reignite. He wrote pencils on paper, just as he was inspired by fishing, snorkeling and the artwork of the great marine life artists of the 1990s. But this time, a few different things are presented on paper. He did not try to make the fish look exactly the same as the real life fish. He noticed that the lights, contrasts, shapes and prominent features made the fish look like fish without all the details. The artwork is natural and flowing, he likes it, and people who see it like it. He realized that it was time to combine his entrepreneurial experience with his core passion. His inner shark was released and Shark Zen was born.
