The 2018 formation of Mexican Mama was inspired by a yearning for comfort meals from back home. More and more, they found themselves reminiscing over the Mexican food they had grown to love and miss. They could see their British friends' interest building as they told them about the delicious dishes they used to make, using exotic ingredients like achiote and guajillo chilies. Soon, their British friends were as hungry as they were. It was a big shame that they were never able to prepare authentic Mexican food for their friends and family back in the UK since they just could not find all the necessary ingredients (especially as it was them who made them hungry for them in the first place).
