Listening Room Cafe was founded in 2006 in franklin, Tennessee. Chris Blair, the owner and singer/lyricist, decided to open a venue because he was in Nashville playing his music and couldn't find a place where he thought a Nashville artist should have the sound and atmosphere. Franklin's location quickly became a local favorite, attracting composers from the music industry who began calling it "the bluebird cafe outside Nashville. "To keep up the buzz, Blair decided to move to downtown Nashville and the music row. The founder of Listening Room Cafe opened his new location in the historic cummins station building in May 2008. There, the listening room really established itself and began to attract the music industry's biggest songwriters and artists.
