Great Books is an independent, non-profit educational organization that creates reading and discussion projects for students and adults. They believe that literacy and critical thinking help to form reflective and knowledgeable citizens and enable them to participate constructively in democratic societies. For more than 70 years, the Great Book Foundation has published an excellent selection of texts, and has taught teachers and volunteers about shared inquiry learning methods.
