Freet makes 2 styles of ‘minimal’ shoes, 4+1 ‘split-toe’ and 5in1 ‘toes together’. Their 4+1 part toe shoes have an isolated stash for the huge toe which gives a small more ‘glove-like’ feel, while their 5in1 shoes have all toes together, like conventional shoes. Both styles are adaptable, ample to permit toes to spread, have no heels and permit feeling from the ground, all to realize the same ‘barefoot-like’ result and they tend to be worn traded. To a great extent it’s a matter of individual preference! Sometimes Freet might need or have to be move on a harder surface or for a longer time/distance and for this they utilize a lean layer of progressed stun retaining fabric such as PORON or ORTHOLITE. This does not affect the ‘barefoot-like’ nature of the shoe.
