Fit Kids is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides structured sports and fitness activities for underserved young people. Executive Director Ashley Hunter founded the company in May 2011, and the organization currently affects more than 20,000 elementary school-age children through more than 100 websites. Physical activity in early childhood is vital to children's long-term health, including their mental and emotional health. However, due to reduced school budgets, unaffordable organized youth sports programs and lack of safe playgrounds, too many children in underserved communities miss out on organized sports activities. Fit Kids's plan includes hundreds of different exercises, games, and fun activities to get children to exercise, helping them fall in love with fitness and prepare for a successful and healthy future.
